do you need to marinate ? In what and how long?
i dry rub
4 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons fresh ground black pepper
1 teaspoons cayenne
PREPARATION:
Mix ingredients together. Store in an airtight container. Spread evenly on prepared ribs that have been patted dry and let sit until the rub appears moist
Cook meat for about 2 hrs, remove from oven and transfer to hot grill. While on grill, continue to brush with BBQ mix from pan. They should only need a few minutes on each side. The BBQ sauce should get a bit crispy, and although the meat isnt quite as tender this way, will still be quite tasty and much easier to serve and eat.

Best to pre-cook them in water with peppercorns, bayleaf and onion slices. Allow to cool, then use a dry rub and grill, on very low heat until pull apart tender. Serve with barbeque sauce.

you do not need to boil or marinade ribs for them to be tender. what makes them tender is the temperature of the heat…they must be cooked with low heat and slowly…if someone tells you to boil them, they are a person who doesn’t know how to cook at all. don’t listen to them.

im going with NO boiling that is just the worst way to cook ribs. good ribs take time. use low indirect heat and just let them sit and baste near the end of the cook so you do not burn the glaze as that will kill the flavor. also take some hickory chips let them soak in water and you will have some very tasty tender ribs
