experimental means … experimental means literally experimenting, songs can sound good when something is experimental. Put on the flaming lips, or the sun city girls, or ornette coleman, they are all experimental artists, yet all of them are revered by those who have heard their music.
Shit sorry. I … sorry. I forgot about your comment. Anyway, I rip this from my vinyl copy with a vinyl to CD converter. If you’re looking for a cleaner sound, I’d go with the iTunes version. The whole thing is on there.
If I may ask, why … If I may ask, why is this song so popular? It’s a good song, but I get the most comments and views on this one. Is it played often by them? It’s certainly one of my favorites by them, but it’s such an oscure song to me. I could be wrong…and I probably am.
What’s wrong with … What’s wrong with pepper? If Darth feels some stuff is too experimental, that’s okay. Pepper is a very nice and radio friendly song. Every group needs one of those.
I can respect that. … I can respect that. Also, I love this song and others like it, when I say experimental I mean songs that just don’t even sound good, and also songs that sound too mainstream.
dear darth…where … dear darth…where do i begin? The thing I, and every person ive ever played the Buttholes at like about them is; that in an age of analy retentive glam rock “alternative ” rock came along some guys who just didnt give a bout “music” and just had some fun messin with us all.
I’m surprised ya dont get it, you being a big nirvana fan, a band who were carrying the experimental torch for a while themselves. Hurdy gurdy man? just a cover version to promote a contract filler cynics say.
i like the butthole … i like the butthole surfers sound, but sometimes they go so overboard in being experimental, its just some weird, retarded sounds that take no effort. like hurdy, gurdy man, what the heck is that na na na na?
