is it safe to Bar BQ in a garage?
hay guys it’s starting to sleet and show where I live so I can’t grill out side but how about in my garage if I run a stove pipe up threw the roof and some ducking right above the grill with a fan to pull smoke up and away
You need to have a ventilation system of some sort to allow fresh air in and the carbon dioxide to escape, if you are using a charcoal grill. I would recommend leaving the garage door open a bit, or opening a window a little.
its a fire hazard. if your house doesnt burn down, the smoke will surely finish the job

NO!
Barbeques give off a LOT of carbon monoxide, which is tasteless, odorless, and extremely poisonous.
Do this and you’ll be on the evening news some day soon.

No, because its a hazard and you need some really good ventilation.

You probably don’t need to get that complicated. Just open the garage door and put the grill just out of the sleet and snow. Put a fan up to blow the smoke outside.

as long as your garage isnt attached to the house and you BBQ with the the garage door open, and no gasoline or gas fumes, or gas cans, it MIGHT be safe.

a chimney has to be inspected and permitted before use. The heat in the pipe can set the roof on fire if improperly installed

Not only is this unsafe, but it won’t be covered by any insurance plan that you have because it won’t be "to code."

Grill Outdoors
The first safety point should be fairly obvious. Grill outdoors. Don’t grill in an enclosed area, like a garage. Grilling with charcoal or LP gas generates carbon monoxide, which can be lethal. Under normal outdoor conditions, the gentlest breeze will carry the gas away. Inside, that doesn’t happen. Grilling in a garage, in the basement, or some other place that isn’t outside, can kill. Even if you leave a window open.
Besides, if you don’t grill outside, you’ll never enjoy the thrill of grilling in the rain. Or snow. And you won’t have the comforting experience of having your spouse call you in out of a hailstorm.
