When do Weber barbecues go on sale?

Posted by admin on March 8th, 2010 and filed under weber barbecue | 3 Comments »

I need to purchase a new barbecue by summer. I’ve been watching the sale ads since last August. I would like to buy a Weber. I have not seen them go on sale yet. Do they ever go on sale? If so, when?

I don’t think they are ever reduced in price except maybe winter. But they sell them year-round at many garden centres, you just need to visit a big one and ask for them.

Webers are great and very worth the money.

Good luck :)

Does anyone have info on purchasing a new Barbecue?

Posted by admin on February 22nd, 2010 and filed under weber barbecue | 1 Comment »

I’m looking at the Weber Genesis E-320 or Genesis EP-320. The only difference I can see between the two is the E-320 has Porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates (which I thought was the best) and the EP-320 has 7mm diameter stainless steel rod cooking grates (I’m under the impressions the stainless steel does not cook as evenly). Does anybody know which type of grill is the best quality, or does anybody know anything about these types of grills???

I have a Holland grill had it for 7 years now, the electric start still starts.
Check them out there are no grates the grills you are mentioning the burners rust out or burn out. They are expensive to replace.

Is the planet earth a giant weber grill with the sun being one hell of a charcoal briquette?

Could it be that god is really having a barbecue?

Nope, the sun is still a big fusion reaction cause by gravities pull on matter; and the earth is still a spinning ball of rock and dirt…

Thanksgiving Turkey Stuffing?

Posted by admin on October 23rd, 2009 and filed under weber barbecue | 2 Comments »

I will be cooking for twenty people. I am pretty good cook but I have never done turkey stuffing. I am also barbecuing the turkey on my weber. I need the best recipe for a turkey stuffing. Please help.

Stuffing or Dressing? Two different things.

When I stuff my turkey I use aeromatic herbs and veggies. I add a couple of lemons too, the citrus is incredible with turkey.

My mom used to make a cornbread dressing with onions, celery and poultry seasoning to taste. It’s what Thanksgiving is all about. She’d make cornbread from a mix and let it cool. Then she’d grind onions and celery into an almost slurry. I’d say one med onion and 4 stalks celery for every cornbread mix made. She’d saute the onion and celery till the onion was translucent. She always used lots and lots of butter, again at least one cube per cornbread mix. Once the onion was clear, shed combine the veggies w/ the cornbread and use turke stock or chicken stock to make it a loose consistency. She added enough poultry seasoning to taste (varies by personal taste) and salt. She’d bake till golden on top. Very good for any poultry or pork chops.

In lieu of chicken stock you can use a nice dry white wine as well. That would add a little dimension to the dressing.

Have fun with it.
